Adjustable Quota Tournaments

Updated over 4 months ago

A quota tournament is a fun alternative to the other popular forms of play. Each player or team receives a quota of points to reach. The quota is determined by their Playing Handicaps. However, sometimes in multi-round quota tournaments, it is necessary to adjust the player or team quotas round after round to ensure a fair and exciting finish to the tournament.

To set up a multi-round adjustable quota tournament, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to League/Event > Multi-Round Tournaments > Add New Multi-Round Tournament.

  2. Select the rounds, select "Quota" as the format, and select the rest of the tournament settings.

  3. Click "Handicaps" in the Advanced Options section (as shown below).

  4. Select the option to adjust the quotas after each round using a % of the difference between the actual result and the quota from the previous round (as shown below).

  5. Click "Continue".

  6. Save the tournament.

The tournament will then be set up.

Example:

Take a look at the leaderboard below. Doug's quota for Round 1 was 11. He earned 24 total points (+13 over his quota). Take 20% of the difference (13 x .2) and his quota should be adjusted by 2.6 for the second round. If you look below, his round 2 quota adjusted to 13.6.
