Q: When setting up a skins tournament or other pot game, can I carry over the pot to the next round if it was not distributed?
A: Yes, a purse can be carried over for single round tournament having the following format:
Skins: Basic Skins / Silk Skins / Canadian Skins
Instances: Eagles / Birdies / Deuces / Treys
When enabled in a tournament, the Pot can be carried over, round to round, if no one won the pot in the current round until a skin/instance can be awarded. For example, if no skin/instance is won until round three, the pot from the previous two rounds is carried over and awarded in round three, and the carryover resets for the upcoming rounds (if necessary).
In this article, we will discuss setting up and editing tournaments with round-to-round carryover pots.
Setting Up a Tournament to Carryover Pot Round-to-Round:
To utilize this feature, follow these instructions:
Contact support to have this feature enabled (if not already enabled).
Go to Rounds (Select the first round that includes the tournament) > Tournaments > Create New Tournament.
Set the tournament format to one previously identified (e.g., basic skins, deuces, etc.).
Update other tournament format settings as needed.
Set the Purse & Points payout. For more details on the available payout options, Click Here.
Check the box to "Enable Round to Round Pot Carryover" (As shown below).
Once enabled, the option to "save in My Tournament Library" will automatically be selected as the tournament must be included in at least one other round (as shown below).
When selected, the following options are available:Auto-include in all future rounds: Saves the tournament to the tournament library and auto includes it in all further rounds. An example of this would be a league that plays a gross skin tournament every week. It would be a good idea to auto-include this tournament for all future rounds.
Auto-include in selected rounds: Saves the tournament to the tournament library and lets you select which rounds include the tournament (as shown below).
Click "Save," and the tournament will be created in the current round and selected future rounds.
Editing Tournament with Round-to-Round Pot Carryover:
When any tournament is set up with a round-to-round pot carryover, only the following fields are editable for that tournament (as shown below):
Tournament Name
Purse and Points Pot
Carryover Configuration
The manager can modify the current round carryover configuration through a configuration pop-up. The configuration option is visible when editing the tournament, right next to the Pot Carryover checkbox (as shown below).
Once clicked, a pop-up window is displayed for the manager to select the desired carryover tournaments. Note: Only the tournaments within rounds that are not played (i.e., scores entered) are available for modifications.
Remove rounds by clicking the "-" symbol or add new rounds by clicking the "+" if additional rounds are available. You can also update rounds and tournaments by using the dropdown selectors.
It should be noted that the carryover configuration changes in the following situations:
The original tournament was deleted.
Carryover configuration updates so that the Pot propagates starting from the next round.
The following round tournament was deleted.
Carryover configuration updates to exclude the deleted tournament.
New tournament included via “Play this Tournament?” option in the Tournament Library.
