Best Practices and Suggestions:

  • In order for this device to work properly, you need dependable wireless internet in the area. If the TV is outside your clubhouse wireless internet range, consider using a wireless hotspot or a smartphone as a hotspot to provide the wireless internet.

  • Make sure your computer (or other device) is within comfortable range of the TV and connect to the same wireless internet.

  • You can enter scores and display the TV leaderboard on one computer. Because the Chromecast will only "cast" a specific tab in your Chrome browser, you can enter scores (or do other work) in one tab, while casting to the tab displaying the TV leaderboard.

  • Give yourself adequate time to set up the Chromecast, especially if doing it for the first time. Sometimes a software update is needed before casting or you may need help troubleshooting issues like a slow internet connection.

  • Check your screensaver and sleep mode settings to make sure your computer will not lose its display while casting.

  • You can connect multiple Chromecast devices to one computer, therefore displaying the TV leaderboard on multiple TVs while only using one computer. For instructions on this, Click Here.
