Traditionally, leaderboards are printed and posted on a board or wall. As players finish their round, scores are handwritten on the printed scoreboards. With our TV Display Leaderboard feature, you can now throw away the pen and paper to give your players a professional experience.
Typically, the TV leaderboard is displayed on a TV in or around the clubhouse. However, there are some other creative display methods like:
Displaying the TV leaderboard on the course.
Display the TV leaderboard on a projector.
Displaying the TV leaderboard on a tablet.
In this article, we will discuss how to set up and manage the TV leaderboards. Looking for options on how to connect to a TV Display, Click Here.

Accessing the TV Display:
To access the TV Leaderboard for an event or league, go to Rounds > Display Leaderboard > TV Display.
(Note: If you'd like a quick easy link to get to the TV leaderboard for your current round, simply use the URL "prefix.golfgenius.com/tv". Replace "prefix" with the prefix for your event or league. The prefix and be changed in your league/event profile. When accessing that link, we will bring you directly to the most recent in-progress round's TV leaderboard. So there is no need to use a different link each round to access the TV leaderboard.)
Managing the TV Display Settings:
Once the TV Leaderboard is displayed on the TV, you can manage the settings (as shown below).
Scroll your mouse to the top center area, you will see the settings panel. There are a number of display options available:
Font Size: Increasing the font size will make the text easier to view. Decreasing the font size to create more space for more names/teams on one page.
Scroll Rate: Move the slider bar to the right to increase the scroll rate. Move it to the left to decrease.
Top Margin: Different TVs require different margin adjustments. Move the Top margin up or down to fit the display of the TV.
Bottom Margin: Different TVs require different margin adjustments. Move the Bottom margin up or down to fit the display of the TV.
Display Width: Widening the display width will allow more text on each row, therefore creating space for more players/teams on each page. Do not increase the display width so much that the display is cut off from the TV.
Header Height: The header area is the space above the leaderboard that includes your logo and header information (e.g., event name, event date, etc). You can adjust the height of the header area if necessary. For instance, decreasing the header height will create more space for the actual leaderboard. Keep in mind that when adjusting the height, the header information will remain the same size.
Banner Height: If displaying your primary banner, you can increase or decrease the size at the top. Keep in mind that increasing the size will remove available space below.
Select a Round: If there are multiple rounds in the event/league, move from round-to-round to display different leaderboards.
Ticker Display: If displaying the current leader for a tournament in the ticker above the results, you can choose to have the ticker scrolling, centered, left justified, or right justified. Click Here for details.
Banner: Display or hide the primary banner.
Logo: Display or hide the primary logo.
Dark: If you have the TV leaderboard set up outside on a bright day, it may be ideal to turn the Dark Background on. It is sometimes easier to see when there is a glare on the tv/computer monitor.
Summaries: If there is any points or purse being awarded in the round, you can add a page that will display the total team or player points/purse for the round.
Season Points: If you are managing season points for the season, you can add the updated season point standings to the the tv display.
Full Screen: Move in and out of full screen mode. Full screen mode gives the best overall display.
Manage Pages: This option is discussed in the next section (below) of this article.
Watermark & Background: Add some color and branding to the background of the TV display. If using a background image, make sure to use a high-resolution image. Otherwise, it may be blurry.
Customize Header: The header above the results can be customized by removing information, adding information, and formatting the font of the information. You can also completely remove the header to make more room for the results below. For more details, Click Here.
Pause/Resume Scrolling: At any time, you can pause or resume the scrolling of the TV display.
Managing the Pages on the TV Display:
When clicking on "Manage Pages" on the blue settings bar, you can change the order of the pages being displayed on the TV leaderboard. Click and drag each page to the right or left to change the order (as shown below).
The Summaries page will list the points/purse earned in the round. For instance, if you are playing a Ryder Cup style event, then this page will show the team point totals.
You can also hide or increase the scroll rate for specific pages (as shown below). Go to "Manage Pages", then click on "Settings" for the specific page to do this.
You can uncheck "Visible" to hide the page from the TV leaderboard. For instance, maybe you have a skins tournament created, but you do not want to display the results on the TV until everything is verified and final.
Adjust the scroll rate for a page by clicking and dragging the slider bar. Dragging the slider bar to the left will increase the scroll rate. Dragging the slider bar to the right will slow down the scroll rate. The scroll rate will only change for that specific page.
