Q: We have Chromecast devices connected to multiple TVs in the clubhouse. Can I cast the TV leaderboard from one computer to multiple TVs?
A: Chromecast is typically used so that one computer controls only one Chromecast device. However, there is a way to accomplish this (with most computers) by adding multiple Chrome users. Each "user" can control one Chromecast all from just one computer. Keep in mind that all TVs need to be within close proximity to the computer (or other device) doing the casting. See the steps below to accomplish this.
Depending on the number of Chromecasts that you would like to use, you must set up a user for each one in the Chrome Browser. To do this, simply click your Chrome user name in the top right corner of the Chrome browser > Manage People > Add Person. If you have three Chromecasts that you would like to use at once, simply add three “Persons”. We suggest naming these "users" something that will make it easy to identify what TV is being used for that "user" (e.g., Bar TV, Grille Room TV, Locker Room TV, etc).
Open separate Chrome windows (not tabs), for the number of Chromecasts that you will be casting to. You are going to have a dedicated window open (not tab) for each Chromecast. If you don’t know how to do this, in Windows simply right click on the Chrome Browser icon on your desktop and choose “New Window”.
In the top right of the Chrome Browser windows, you are going to see an area
where you can switch between the “users” who you set up in step number 1. Now, all you need to do is choose a different person for each window.
Go to each browser window and display the TV leaderboard.
Now go into each window and click the Chromecast tab in the top right browser bar and choose the appropriate Chromecast device for each window. You should now be able to Chromecast to multiple devices by using a single computer.
