Text Message Delivery Report

This feature is available for the following products:

If you are sending text messages to players and managers manually or an automatic system message configured using templates, you can use the Message Delivery Report to view past message attributes like status (delivered, failed, unsubscribed, etc.), content, and other information. This tool can answer the following questions:

  • Was the text message successfully delivered to the recipient?

  • When was the message delivered?

  • What was the content of the message?

The Email Delivery Report includes emails composed and sent by you and other Managers from one of the Text Message Centers (listed below):

  • Master Roster

  • Event/League

  • Rounds

In this article, we will discuss accessing the text message delivery report center and searching messages.

Accessing Text Message Delivery Reports

To access the Text Message Delivery Report, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to one of the following Text Message Centers:

    1. Master Roster: Customer Center > Master Roster > Manage Text Messages. (Only messages sent in the Customer Center will be searched.)

    2. Event/League: Golfers > Manage Text Messages. (Only messages sent in the event/league will be searched.)

    3. Round: Rounds > Manage Text Messages. (Only messages sent in the specific round will be searched.)

  2. Click "Message Delivery Report" (as shown below).

Filtering/Searching Text Messages

To find specific message(s), use any of the available filters (as shown below) and click "Go".

  • Select Recipient: Narrow results to a specific player on your roster or contact.

  • Select Description: Narrow results based on the text message description that was assigned when sending the message.

  • Select Round: Select a specific round the message is from.

  • Select Error: Narrow results by a specific error message that is being received.

The filtered emails will then populate based on the selected filter.


​​Message Result Details

The table of results includes the following information:

  • Player/Contact: Recipient name.

  • Description: Subject of the text provided when creating the message.

  • Body: View the body of the message.

  • To: Recipient's phone number.

  • Status: Status of the email. Possible statuses include:

    • Queued: The message is waiting to be processed by the system.

    • Pending Opt-in: The original message is being held while the system awaits a START reply from the recipient to the opt-in invitation.

    • Delivered: The message was successfully sent to the recipient’s carrier.

    • Failed: The message could not be delivered (e.g., incorrect number).

    • Unsubscribed: The recipient replied STOP, or the 24-hour opt-in window expired without a START reply, resulting in the message being discarded. When a message is not delivered due to a lack of consent, the Text Message Delivery Report will show the error message, "Unsubscribed recipient: The recipient either replied with STOP to a previous message or has not yet subscribed to notifications from Golf Genius" (as shown below).

  • Round: Round in which the message was sent (if sent from within a round under the Rounds Menu).

  • Last Update: The time the email status last changed. (e.g., time email was delivered, time email was last clicked, time email failed to send, etc).

  • Service Name: The provider name used to send the message.
