To manually add a trade-in TradeZella, visit the 'Manual' add trade page.

  1. Visit https://app.tradezella.com/add-trade/manual to directly access the manual trade entry page.

  2. Alternatively, you can click the "Add Trade" button on the left panel and navigate to the "Manual" tab.

Once on the manual trade entry page, follow these steps:

Step 1: Select Your Account

  • Select the account to which you want the trade execution to be applied.

Step 2: Specify the Asset Type and Symbol

  • Asset Type: Select the type of asset (e.g., stock, option, future, etc).

  • Symbol: Enter the symbol of the asset you are trading. For example, you can use the symbol “MNQ” or “MNQU4” (with expiration date).

Step 3: Create New Execution

Click on the “Create New Execution” button to start adding your first execution. Here’s what you’ll need to fill out:

  • Date/Time: The exact date and time of the trade execution.

  • Quantity: Enter the number of shares/contracts/lots.

  • Side: Buy/Sell. If it's a long trade, the first execution will be to sell. If it's a short trade, the first execution will sell.

  • Price: The price at which the trade was executed.

  • Commission & Fees: Any commission & fees associated with the trade

⚠️ Important Note: You must add each execution individually. For example, an entry and exit execution will need to be added as two separate entries.

Additional Details

Depending on the asset type, additional details may be required, such as:

  • Contract Multiplier: E.g., the multiplier for MNQ is 2.

  • Expiration Date: Relevant for options and futures.

  • Strike Price: For options.

Step 4: Save the Trade

After entering the execution details:

  • Click on “Save Trade” to save the trade and navigate to the trade page.

To add more executions for the same trade, click “ADD EXECUTION” at the bottom of the trade page, enter the necessary fields, and click “Save.” This will apply the additional execution to the trade.

Example of Manually Adding a Trade

Let’s break down the example provided:

Step 1: For the first execution, input the entry details:

  • Date/Time: 07/26/2024 19:38:38 +00:00

  • Expiration Date: Sep/13/2024

  • Contract Multiplier: 2 (as specified by CME)

  • Number of Contracts: 1

  • Side: SELL (since it’s a short trade)

  • Price: 19130

  • Fees: 0.74

Step 2: Add the second execution for closing the trade:

  • Date/Time: 07/26/2024 19:40:04 +00:00

  • Expiration Date: Sep/13/2024

  • Contract Multiplier: 2

  • Number of Contracts: 1

  • Side: BUY (to close the short trade)

  • Price: 19145.5

  • Fees: 0 (since the total fee of 0.74 was already added in the previous execution)

Once both executions are added, click “Save” to finalize the trade.

Manually adding trades in TradeZella allows you to keep a detailed and accurate log of your trades.

Ensure each execution is entered accurately to maintain the integrity of your trading records.
