Templates
One good way to systematize your process is by creating templates.
How to create a template:
Go to Notebook
Click on the three dots beside your selected folder.
Click “Edit Template”
Type in a template format that you’d like to follow.
Hit save.
This template will automatically populate the note when you add one under that folder.
Best practices
Block a time in your calendar when you’ll do a trade recap. Are you a night owl or do you prefer to do it right after your trading session? Do what works for you!
Create a folder to add your Goals for the Year. Break them down into Quarterly Goals, Monthly Goals, and even Weekly Goals. This way it’s easy to go back to these straight from your journal.
Create templates for your Daily Journal folder. This encourages you to fill this out every trading session day. Things you might want to consider including are:
Pre-Market Game Plan.
Watchlist.
What I did was great.
Mistakes I made.
Reinforcements to myself.
Overall recap.
