  • Purpose

    • Your Notebook stores all your journal entries, trade recaps, and other notes. It is yours to customize and to keep everything in one place.

  • Daily Journal vs. Sessions Recap

    • The Daily Journal folder and the Sessions Recep folder are pre-saved in all accounts, and cannot be deleted

    • What’s the difference:

      • Daily Journal:

        • Recap your trades by day

        • Click on Log day

        • Select a particular day

        • This will automatically show the statistics of the trade/trades you took on that day.

      • Sessions Recap:

        • Select a timeframe that you’d like to take notes on or do a recap on. This could be weekly, monthly, etc.

        • Click on Log Session

        • Select a start date and end date

        • This will automatically show statistics of the trades you took within that time frame.

  • Adding Notes

    • When you add notes to your trades, they will automatically be synced and stored in the Daily Journal folder inside your Notebook.

    • How to add notes to your trades:

      • Go to Daily Stats

        • This will show your trades grouped by day

      • Click on Write a Note.

      • Type in your notes, game plan, recap, etc.

        • You have the option to edit the format and even add images and tables as needed. Do what works for you.

      • Hit save.

  • New Folder:

    • Apart from the Daily Journal and Sessions Recap folders, you may add as many folders as you’d like. This is a great way to organize your thoughts while having everything in one place.

    • How to create a new folder:

      • Go to Notebook

      • Click on “Add Folder”

      • Enter a Folder name

      • Select a color

      • Hit save.

  • Templates

    • One good way to systematize your process is by creating templates.

    • How to create a template:

      • Go to Notebook

      • Click on the three dots beside your selected folder.

      • Click “Edit Template”

      • Type in a template format that you’d like to follow.

      • Hit save.

      • This template will automatically populate the note when you add one under that folder.

    • Best practices

      • Block a time in your calendar when you’ll do a trade recap. Are you a night owl or do you prefer to do it right after your trading session? Do what works for you!

      • Create a folder to add your Goals for the Year. Break them down into Quarterly Goals, Monthly Goals, and even Weekly Goals. This way it’s easy to go back to these straight from your journal.

      • Create templates for your Daily Journal folder. This encourages you to fill this out every trading session day. Things you might want to consider including are:

        • Pre-Market Game Plan.

        • Watchlist.

        • What I did was great.

        • Mistakes I made.

        • Reinforcements to myself.

        • Overall recap.
