TradeZella lets you backtest multiple symbols in a single session and view up to 8 charts at once in your backtesting window.

How Do I Add Multiple Symbols for Manual Backtesting?

  • When creating a new backtesting session, add the symbols you want to backtest.

💡 Note: You can add up to 5 symbols in a manual backtesting session. Once you create a session, you can no longer add or remove symbols.

How Do I Switch Between Symbols?

Inside your session, you can switch between the symbols you selected when creating it — no need to start a new session. There are two ways to do it:

  • Click the symbol name in the upper-left corner to open the Symbol Search popup, then type or select the symbol you want to view.

  • Or, while on the chart, start typing the symbol name to pull up the Symbol Search box.

How Do I Add Multiple Charts?

  • Click the layout icon in the upper-right corner (next to Autosaved) to open the layout selector.

  • Choose a layout. Layouts are grouped by the number of charts — from 1 up to 8, each with different grid arrangements.

Currently, you can add and view up to 8 simple charts simultaneously.

💡 Note: You don't need a TradingView subscription to use multi-charts in backtesting — it's free on TradeZella across all plans!

How Do I Sync Layouts Across Charts?

To sync layouts across multiple charts, see Sync in Layout Across Multiple Charts in Backtesting for step-by-step guidance.
