Here's an overview of what could block you from booking slots:

  1. No locations, facilities, or sections yet

  2. No template applied

  3. Closed facility

  4. Carrier can't book outside slot ranges

  5. The combination of labels, activity type,... doesn’t match any of the facilities or section settings

  6. You're booking outside the booking ranges

  7. Sorry, but there are really no available slots

Flo will explain all problems and solutions below. Some things can only occur for carriers and some can only be solved by internal users.

1. No locations, facilities, or sections yet

Problem:

Start with the basics, make sure your settings are set up correctly.

Solution:

Create locations, facilities, and sections.

Note: This can't be done by a carrier admin.

2. No template applied

Problem:

If you haven't defined you're opening hours/days, lunch breaks, capacity, or facility is closed... yet, we can't allow carriers to book. Because we don't know how to plan them in.

Solution:

Create and apply a template.

Note: This can't be done by a carrier admin.

3. Closed facility

Problem:

If your facility is closed (because of your template or because of changes you made in your 'Edit view'), there will be no available slots to book.

Solution:

Open your 'Edit view' (via the customize view button in your Schedule view) and open your facility on the day you want to create a booking.

Note: This can't be done by a carrier admin.

4. Carrier can't book outside the slot ranges

Problem:

The slot ranges you have added at the beginning of the booking wizard, or the slot ranges that come from the transport order, define the period in which the carrier can book a slot.

If the carrier selects a day outside this range, he will get a 'no available slots' error at the end of the booking wizard.

Solution:

  • Select a day within the slot ranges. (Greyed-out days don't have available bookings, black dates have).

  • Ask the warehouse manager to book a slot, they're able to book outside the slot ranges.

  • Change the slot ranges

    • On the transport order in the TMS

    • In the booking wizard (use the previous button to go to the first page 'General information)

5. The combination of labels, activity type,... doesn’t match any of the facilities or section settings

Problem:

You're trying to book a slot for a certain activity type (in/outbound) and/or a combination of labels that isn't possible in the location you've selected.

In other words, the setup of the sections (docks), doesn't allow you to book for the labels and activity type that you've selected.

Solution:

  • Edit your labels and/or activity type on the transport order.

  • Edit your labels and/or activity type in the booking wizard (use the previous button to go to the first page 'General information)

  • Book more than one slot (if the carrier wants to deliver more than one package in the same timeslot and each package has its own label, but the customer doesn’t have a dock with both labels available, then the carrier should deliver it separately and book one slot for each package.

Note: Additional labels also making a part of the material types of the booking.

6. Booking outside the booking ranges

Problem:

On the facility and section settings, the warehouse managers can add booking ranges, aka the ranges in which a carrier can book.

In other words, if the carrier is trying to book a slot in the far far future or too last minute, he won't be able to.

Note: These booking ranges are only for carrier users and can only be changed by internal users.

Solution:

  • Select a day within the booing ranges.

  • Ask the warehouse manager to book a slot, they're able to book outside the slot ranges.

  • Change te booking ranges in you facility and/or section settings:

7. Sorry, but there are really no available slots

Problem:

If all the above is fixed and you still see an error 'No available slots', it's because all of the slots of this day are booked.

Solution:

  • Confirm with the warehouse manager if there are available slots for selected activity type or labels on that day.

  • Select another day.

  • Ask your warehouse manager to create more available slots on that day.
