In this article, we'll be taking a closer look at what all the different statuses mean and what action triggers what status.
When You create a new SO and save it, your order will go in 'Draft', This means it is in the system, but no actions have yet been taken.
Confirmation pending on an SO means a booking confirmation email has been sent out to the customer. Once the customer confirms, the order is activated.

Sales Order Quotation email sends a cost overview to the customer for them to confirm.
When you send this email quotation, the Sales Order goes to the status "Quote sent" and a Transport Order is created. The transport order also gets the status "Quote sent". If charges are added to orders with the status "quote sent", then a new mail will be sent automatically with the new charges included.
The customer has the option to Accept/Reject the quote, and depending on their response the order will either go to the status Quote rejected or when the quote is accepted, the SO will go to ready for pick up.
If the quote is rejected, the linked Transport order will be deleted.

When there is incomplete data on Sales orders or linked Material orders, the order will go incomplete.
When a SO is manually canceled before activation, it will get this status.
When a SO is manually canceled after 'Ready for Pickup' (order activation), but before the order is 'in transit' (before the first arrive actual), it gets the status 'Cancelled before collection'.
It's possible that you have to provide a reason, depending on the SO settings
This means the SO is activated and 'ready for pickup'. You can do this manually by right-clicking the order -> Order Flow -> Activate Sales Order.
For a SO to be activated, you need a freight or spot rate. Unless you check this box in the SO settings:
Besides activating a SO manually, in the MO settings, you can check the box 'Create SO on MO activation'. This will create and activate a SO when an MO is activated, meaning the SO will also go to 'Ready for Pickup'
From the moment the arrival actual milestone has been updated (on the TO), the SO will go 'In Transit'
The Order will be 'In Transit' until the "destination arrival actual" (on the TO) has been updated.
If the order is cancelled during the transit, the order will be 'Cancelled In Transit'
When the "destination arrive actual" (on the TO) is being updated, the status will change to 'Destination'
The carrier delivers the order and the delivery actual gets updated (on the TO).
If the delivery is late, depending on the settings, you need to provide a late reason.
If orders are not completed but via milestone updates, but you want the SO to be finished anyway, you can use the "finish manually" feature to close the order and allow it to be billed.
Although not that common, you can select a SO and put it in 'Completed (Draft)'.
This only has an effect on the SO itself and doesn't affect the flow of either the MO or TO.
An order is completed when the order is 'Finished' + the billing flow has been completed. (Ready for reporting and ready for billing have been triggered)
