When you have an order that has to be assigned to a (new) driver, you can do that in 3 ways:
Invite/create via email without QR code: article here
Forward the carrier confirmation email.
Or you can invite/create a new driver via the carrier portal
Forward carrier email:
When the carrier receives the confirmation email, they can send this to the driver and the driver can accept this order.
If it's a new driver, the QR will bring him/her to the app store to install the app.
The driver scans or clicks the QR code to install the app and/or accept the order.
Via the carrier portal:
When you are assigned to an order, the order appears in the carrier portal.
Once you accepted the order, you might need to assign a driver.
You can assign the driver by clicking on the order and going to "driver info and license plate"-> click edit
This will open a popup:
In this case, no driver has been added in Contol Tower, which is why the driver info on top is empty.
To add a driver, simply enter his/her email address and press save.
This will send out an email to that particular user and looks like this:
