Event Visibility is a trip-wide setting for any group trips (e.g., trips that you have users tagged on). As a part of this setting, you are choosing the visibility associated with Events that a traveller is not associated with, and not choosing visibility for the entire itinerary. To set Event Visibility on a trip click the Settings button on the navigation bar:

Event Visibility makes it easier and more secure for groups with tagged to access the itinerary. Here's a screen shot of what this looks like:

What does Private mean?

When you set the Events as Private this means travelers that have been added to the trip can only see the Events on the itinerary that they are tagged in or if there is an Event that has no travelers tagged to it (visible by everyone).

Important Notes:

If you set Events as Private and travelers are tagged on the trip they will be required to sign in to view the trip.

If Events are set as Private, but there are no tagged travelers, a traveler can view the itinerary. However, if they try to use the group chat or switch trips function they will be prompted to sign in.

What does Public mean?

When you set the Events as Public this means that anyone can see the Events on the itinerary even if travelers are tagged to certain Events. This also means that the travelers tagged to the Events can be seen by others on the online itinerary or mobile app.

Important Notes:

If you set Events as Public and the traveler shares the trip with others they can view the itinerary online and in the mobile app. In the mobile app travelers will be prompted to sign in/create an account in order to access the group chat or switch trips.
