How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication for your Travefy Account

Learn how to turn on Two-Factor Authentication for your Travefy account.

As an additional level of security for your Travefy account, Travefy users have the ability to turn on Two-Factor Authentication.

To see how to turn on this feature you will want to follow these easy steps.

Scope of 2FA Application: Two-factor authentication in Travefy is configured at the individual user level. It is not a company-wide setting, meaning each user must enable 2FA on their own account. This ensures that security settings are tailored to individual users rather than being applied universally across a company account.

1. Go to your Account Settings

Click on your name on the top navigation bar, and on the dropdown menu choose Account.

2. Go to your Security settings

Click on the tab labeled Security on the left-hand side.

3. Click Set Up

Once in your Security tab, click on Set Up.

4. Enter your information

You will be prompted to enter in your Phone Number and Account Password to start the Two-Factor Authentication setup process.

5. Enter the code sent to you

Once you have entered in this information, a SMS code will be sent to your phone which you will then need to enter back into the window that will open in your Travefy account.

Once you have submitted the code that was sent to your phone you will then be prompted to verify your email with the verification code that was sent to your email address.

You will receive your verification code in an email similar to this.

Once you have verified your email, your Two-Factor Authentication will be all set up for your account!

Note: Once you have gone and set up your Two-Factor authentication you may need to log out and log back in to your Travefy Pro app in order to view all of your proposals/itineraries. Managing 2FA and Passwords: Changing your account password does not require updating your two-factor authentication settings. Passwords and 2FA are managed independently, so updating one does not affect the other. This separation ensures that your account remains secure even if you change your password. Trusted Sessions and 2FA Prompts: You may not always be prompted to verify with 2FA when signing in to Travefy. This is because Travefy can recognize trusted sessions or devices. If you have recently signed in or are using a recognized device, you might bypass the 2FA prompt. This feature is designed to balance security with convenience.
