Subscription billing and Refund policy

Everything you need to know about TravelSmarter subscription plans, billing cycles, cancellations, and how to request a refund.

This article explains how TravelSmarter billing works, what happens when you cancel, and how to request a refund or billing adjustment.

Subscription Plans and Pricing:

TravelSmarter offers three plans:

  • Free - £0 forever. Includes 1 loyalty programme, Wallet, Status Tracking, Flight Forecast, 1 Goal, Airline Calculator, and Flight Log & Map.

  • Premium - £44.50/year (annual) or £3.71/month equivalent. Includes everything in Free, plus Smart Advisor, Smart Search (10 searches/month), Smarter Score, Oneworld Optimiser, up to 3 loyalty programmes, and unlimited Goals.

  • Pro - £84.50/year (annual). Coming soon. Includes everything in Premium, plus unlimited Smart Advisor, Booking Concierge, Smart Search (20 searches/month), Hotel Loyalty Features, BA Holidays Calculator, Active Promotions Tracking, Status Match, and unlimited loyalty programmes.

Premium subscriptions are available on two billing cycles:

  • Annual billing - charged once per year. Save 50% compared to the quarterly rate.

  • Quarterly billing - charged every three months.

Your billing cycle is selected at the time of purchase and can be seen in your account settings.

Automatic Renewal:

TravelSmarter subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (annual or quarterly).

You will be charged using the payment method on file via Stripe.

If you do not wish to renew, you must cancel your subscription before the renewal date. Charges made upon renewal are non-refundable unless there was a billing error.

Cancellation Policy:

You can cancel your TravelSmarter subscription at any time. When you cancel:

  • Your Premium access continues until the end of your current paid billing period (annual or quarterly).

  • You will not be charged again after cancellation.

  • Your account reverts to the Free plan once the paid period ends.

TravelSmarter does not offer a money-back guarantee. Cancellation stops future charges but does not generate a refund for the current billing period.

Upgrade Plan:

If you upgrade from Free to Premium (or from Premium to Pro when available), a pro-rata adjustment is applied. This means you are only charged for the portion of the billing period remaining at the time of upgrade - you are not charged twice for the same period.

When a refund or adjustment may be issued:

While TravelSmarter does not offer a general money-back guarantee, refunds or billing adjustments are considered in the following situations:

  • Billing error - if you were charged an incorrect amount or charged in error (e.g. double billing), we will investigate and issue a correction.

  • Duplicate charge - if your account was charged more than once for the same billing period, contact us immediately.

Refund requests outside of these cases (e.g. forgetting to cancel before renewal) are reviewed on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed.

To request a refund or report a billing problem, contact TravelSmarter support using one of the following methods:

If a refund is approved, it will be processed back to your original payment method via Stripe within 7 to 14 business days, depending on your card issuer.

Free plan users:

The Free plan is available at no cost and has no billing associated with it. Free plan users are not eligible to submit refund requests as no charges apply to the Free plan.

Go to Settings in the top-right corner of the app and navigate to the Subscription section.

To view your billing history or update your payment method:
