Leaver Holiday Balance

If an employee was leaving ahead of payroll, customers can get earlier visibility of their leaving balance.

It is not easy to see the remaining leave balance for hourly employees that accrue holiday. This is because in most cases the accrued holiday is added at the point of payroll export. If the employee was leaving ahead of payroll, customers want an earlier visibility of their leaving balance.

When an hourly employee is set as a leaver (or has an end date selected in the leave year) you add any leave that would be accrued on payroll export to the balances to create a leaving balance:

If there are any unapproved shifts (for an employee with a future end date) once they have been approved, the final balance could change.

💡 The monetary (£) value of remaining holiday balance for employees marked as leavers is displayed. This value should reflect the wages owed to the employee upon termination of employment, in accordance with their unused holiday entitlement.
