Workflow management was designed into SiteDocs to replace the parallel paper logs so frequently used for documenting receipt and training of clinical trial documents.
A workflow is a notification that is sent to a user that requires a sign off by that user to register a specific action regarding a document. There are several types of workflows allocated to users, which require action. The most common are triggered when a user needs to sign off to say they have received a document (Read and Submit) or when a user needs to sign off they have read and understood the document (Read and Understood).
Depending on the settings of your portal, you may receive an email notification or a pop up screen may appear when you log into your portal, or you may receive both.

See the attached document on how to complete your sign off.
