The Referral source is a parameter used to identify and track the origin of bookings. It enables monitoring of performance across all touchpoints where Triparound booking buttons are implemented.
By using the Referral source, key metrics such as bookings, revenue and average price paid per touchpoint can be analysed. Additional insights can be obtained through integration with Google Tag Manager, if activated.
How to set it up
Step 1: Navigate to More > Guest Facing > Widgets.
Step 2: Select a specific widget and insert the desired value in the Referral source field. This value will be automatically appended to the widget code/URL.
Notes:
Only letters and numbers should be used
Spaces are not supported
Examples: Website, MobileApp, ReceptionQR, emailCampaignJune2026
Alternatively, the Referral source can be configured during the creation of a new widget.
