Before building a housekeeping board, you must ensure that you have locations with attached properties (including at least one status-related question), allowing you to monitor the inspection dates for each location on the board.
A template will be helpful in collecting data, as it allows you to share common properties across different asset groups and business entities. Learn how to build a template here:
How do I build a housekeeping board
Head over to Smart Boards in the configure portal.
Click on the Add Board button in the top right-hand corner.
Give your board a name and select Housekeeping in the Board Type.
Select the item you want to monitor. For example, if this housekeeping board is used to track room status, you should select Locations.
Select the owner and the department.
Define where it will be completed at.
Move to Monitoring Settings and complete the necessary information.
Monitored Asset Group/Business Entity: The asset group/the entity that needs to be monitored.
Monitored Section: The section that needs to be monitored.
Monitored Property: The status that needs to be tracked, such as cleanliness.
Delegation Mode: Specify whether tasks can be delegated to team members and how they will be assigned.
Enable Comments: Specify whether your team can leave comments on the board and how they comment.
Default Item Background: You can choose either white or green as the default background colour.
Complete Assign Responsibilities.
Monitor: Who will have the access to the board and can add records.
Manager: Who will be managing the board, delegating tasks, and receiving delegated tasks.
Observer: Who will be overseeing the board.
Click Create.
Once created, you will see a Workflow section where you can link the record to the board.
Enable Update of Monitored Property: Specify whether monitored properties can be updated and who is authorised to make updates.
Link Record: The record that will be pre-selected or chosen by the team member.
Record: Select the specific pre-selected record that will be used.

A housekeeping board can be used to track the status of assets. In this case, you will need to select assets as the monitored items and use an asset group template.
You can add an additional display property (which follows the monitored property) after the board is created.
