What are limit settings
Limit settings are rules or boundaries that control how much or how long something can happen. Limit settings on Logits include:
Time Limits: Deadlines or maximum time allowed for tasks.
Number Limits: The maximum or minimum amount of something, such as cost, items, or tasks.
You can apply limit settings to a maintenance board, a sensor board or a calendar. Before setting up limit settings, you need to ensure the monitored properties and the board/calendar have been created.
How do I set up time limits
For inspections, a time limit ensures the process is completed on time, helping maintain consistency and efficiency, especially for equipment, facilities, or safety checks.
For example, you want to ensure the inspections which are about to due or overdue can be managed on the maintenance board or the calendar.
Go to Asset Group and go to the monitored asset group.
Go to the Properties tab and edit the next due date question.
Set limits for the next due date. For example, if you want the asset to appear in amber 30 days before the inspection date, enter -30. Then, click Save.
Now you can see that the inspections exceeding the time limits are displayed in amber or red respectively.
How do I set up number limits
Number limits can help manage resources and control costs.
For example, you have created a board called Actual Repair Cost to manage the equipment repair cost. You want to highlight the outstanding payment when a cost record is added.
Go to Asset Group and go to the monitored asset group.
Go to Properties tab and edit the cost question.
Give limits to the actual cost, and click Save.
Now you can see that costs exceeding the limits are displayed in amber or red respectively.
