What is a logbook

A logbook is a record-keeping tool to document the activities, events, or sales, allowing you to review past actions, track performance, and ensure accountability within business operations.

How do I create a logbook

Start at step 1 if the forms haven't been created; otherwise, continue with step 2.

Step 1: Create a form

  1. Go to the Configure Portal via the 3-dot menu.

  2. Navigate to the Form Library.

  3. Click Add Form to create a new form.

  4. Enter the form details and click Create.

  5. Then you will be navigated to the Questions section to add questions.

We recommend using the guide below to help you create a form.

Step 2: Turn the form into a logbook

  1. Select Assign Workflow and select + Create Logbook.

  2. If Assign Workflow is hidden but Usage shows, the form has been used. Open the Configuration menu (cog) and choose Add Logbook.

  3. Enter the logbook details.

    • Logbook Name: The name of the logbook.

    • Owner: Which site owns and accesses this logbook.

    • Department: Which site owns this logbook.

    • Completed At: The completion level determines the business entity level at which this logbook must be completed.

  4. Add Responsibilities.

    • Monitor: Who will be completing the logbook.

    • Manager: Who will be managing the logbook.

    • Observer: Who will be overseeing the logbook.

  5. Define the workflow settings.

    • Monitor - Edit Locked After (Hours): The duration for which this logbook will remain open to Monitors.

    • Manger - Edit Locked After (Hours): The duration for which this logbook will remain open to Managers.

    • Enable Action Generation: Specify whether actions should be automatically generated in response to identified issues.

๐Ÿ’กTips

  • Action plans must be assigned to the form to ensure they are automatically generated for any identified issues upon submission.

Once created, you can refine which locations have visibility of the logbook in the Assigned Locations section.
