What is a request

Request is a module within Logit that allows you to create and manage workflows for different types of requests, from start to finish. This includes requests such as maintenance issues, lost property reports, and incident or accident reports. The module helps track the progress of each request and ensures it is completed efficiently.

How do I create a request

Start at step 1 if the forms haven't been created; otherwise, continue with step 2.

Step 1: Create a form

  1. Go to the Configure Portal via the 3-dot menu.

  2. Navigate to the Form Library.

  3. Click Add Form to create a new form.

  4. Enter the form details and click Create.

  5. Then you will be navigated to the Questions section to add questions.

We recommend using the guide below to help you create a form.

Step 2: Turn the form into a request

  1. Select Assign Workflow and select + Create Request.

  2. If Assign Workflow is hidden but Usage shows, the form has been used. Open the Configuration menu (cog) and choose Add Request.

  3. Enter the request details.

    • Request Name: The name of the request.

    • Type: Which request type this form is assigned to.

    • Owner: Which site owns and accesses this request.

    • Department: Which department owns this request.

    • Completed At: The completion level determines the business entity level at which this request must be completed.

    • Initial Priority: Priority settings must be enabled for the selected request type for this field to appear. This determines the priority level that will be automatically assigned to the request upon form submission.

  4. Add Responsibilities.

    • Monitor: Who can raise this request.

    • Manager: Who will be managing the request.

    • Observer: Who will be overseeing the request.

  5. Set your desired Workflow Settings.

    • Enable Due By: Specifies when the request should be resolved.

    • Enable Commence By: Specifies the date by which work on the request must begin.

    • Allow Users to Close Own Requests: Allows users to close requests they created.

    • Enable User Delegation: Allows assignment of requests to users.

    • Enable Action Generation from Request: Allows actions to be generated from the request.

    • Automatically close on resolution of Actions: Closes the request automatically once resolution actions are completed.

    • Can Close With Open Actions: Allows requests to be closed with incomplete actions.

    • Access from QR Code Only: Limits request access to QR code scanning.

    • Can be edited by managers after submission: Allows managers to edit requests after submission.

    • Submit with Silent Actions: Enables action plans to be generated without notifications.

    • Allow Completion From Submitted Status: Allows the request to be closed without being put into progress.

    • Always Require Comment on Closing: Requires a comment when closing the request.

    • Enable Contractor Assignment: Allows assignment of requests to contractors within the form.

    • Enable Anonymous Submission (Public Access): Allows the public to access and submit the request anonymously.

  6. Once created, you can refine which locations have visibility of the request in the Assigned Locations section.

  7. If applicable, you can customise and update the request title on submission.

    • Prefix Property: The value that will be added to the beginning of the title.

    • Title Property: The value that will replace the title.

    • Suffix Property: The value that will be added to the end of the title.

  8. To set up notifications for important events related to this request, please refer to this guide:

💡Tips

  • Request types are predefined by Logit. Please contact your account manger if you need additional types.

  • If approval is enabled in your organisation's settings, you can assign approval responsibilities in this section.
