Set up Logit Print

You can print the labels on Logit with Logit Print.

Updated this week

This guide applies to Logit system with the Smart Boards and Logit Print modules.

What is Logit Print

Logit Print allows you to print automated food labels, helping you meet health and safety regulation. With a few clicks, you can print the food labels showing the prep and expiry dates clearly.

  • Logit Print is only available for Android devices. We’re also actively exploring the possibility of bringing Logit Print to the App Store for iOS users. Stay tuned for updates!

Logit Print Setup

1. Download Logit Print

You can download the Logit Print application from the Google Play Store.

2. Set up the printer

After installing Logit Print on the Andriod device, please make sure that the Android device and the printer are on the same network. Otherwise, Logit Print cannot connect the printer for label printing.

To connect the printer to the network, please follow these steps:

  1. Press the Menu button on the printer.

  2. Use the down arrow button to navigate to WLAN.

  3. Select the first option, WLAN (On/Off), and make sure “On” is selected.

  4. Press the Back button to return to the WLAN menu.

  5. Navigate down to Infra Manual Setup.

  6. The printer should now find nearby Wi-Fi networks. Select your network. If your network isn't listed, try moving the printer closer to your Wi-Fi access point or router.

  7. After selecting your network, enter the Wi-Fi password.

  8. The printer should now be connected to the Wi-Fi. To confirm, return to the WLAN menu and select the last option WLAN Status.

💡TIP

Logit Print currently only supports the following printer model:

  • Brother TD-4550DNWB

3. App Setup

Open Logit Print and log into Logit to enable Logit Print to receive printing orders from the Logit system.

After logging in, you’ll see locations you have access to that have made at least one label printing request. If the location you're looking for doesn’t appear, try triggering a label print from a print board within Logit.

Select a location, then search for the network and connect the printer. Alternatively, you can enter the printer's IP address directly.

Once the printer is found, tap the Start Printing button to begin label printing with the app.

4. Print food labels

  1. Go to the Logit system and navigate to the Food Prep Board via the 9-dot menu.

  2. Locate the food item and select the print icon.

  3. Enter the quantity and your name, and then click Print.

If you've enabled Auto Print, labels will be automatically printed as soon as they’re found, usually within 15 seconds of the request.

If Auto Print is turned off, all selected labels will go to the basket. You can choose individual labels to print using the checkboxes on the left, or tap Print All to print all outstanding labels at once.
