Short Summary
Truckbase has upgraded its Locations feature to use PC*MILER and Trimble Maps, replacing Google Maps.
You can now:
Autocomplete addresses
Visually confirm the map pin before saving
Adjust the pin if needed
View routing powered by Trimble Maps inside orders
This improves coordinate accuracy and trucking-specific routing.

Before You Start
Google Maps has been fully replaced by Trimble Maps.
Mileage and routing now use PC*MILER.
This feature is in beta, contact support if you want to test it out.

Quick Steps (Create a Location)
Click New Location
Start typing the address
Select the auto-filled result
Click Next
Review or adjust the map pin
Click Save, then Create
Create a Location from the Locations Page
1. Click New Location
Open Locations and select New Location.
2. Enter the Address
Begin typing the address and select the correct suggestion.
City, state, ZIP, and coordinates auto-fill.
Add a Location Name if needed (example: Yard).
Click Next.
3. Confirm the Pin
You’ll see a map preview showing the exact pin.
If correct → Click Save
If incorrect → Click Edit, move the pin, then Save
4. Click Create
The location is now saved.
Create a Location While Building a Order
Go to Stops
Click New Location
Enter the address
Confirm or adjust the pin
Click Create
The location will attach to the order.
What’s Changed?
Trimble Maps Instead of Google
All maps and routing now use Trimble Maps.
Visible Pin Confirmation
You can now see and adjust the pin before saving — preventing incorrect coordinates.
Trucking-Focused Routing
Mileage calculations now use PC*MILER, which may differ slightly from Google Maps.
Troubleshooting
Pin is wrong?
Click Edit, move the pin, and save before creating the location.
Don’t see the feature?
Contact support to enable it.
FAQ
Will old locations still work?
Yes.
Will mileage look different?
Possibly. PC*MILER routing may differ from Google because it’s designed for commercial trucking.
