Custom stop types
Until now, every stop that wasn't a pickup or a delivery had to be labeled "Transfer" — whether it was a yard move, a border crossing, a drop trailer, or a staging stop. You can now define your own stop type names and use them across your orders, so your route reads the way your operation actually runs.
What you can do
Create your own stop type labels — for example Drop Trailer, Border Crossing, Staging, Cross-Dock, or Fuel Stop (up to 10)
Pick from your custom labels anywhere you set a stop type when creating or editing an order
See the specific label everywhere a stop appears — tables, overlays, driver dispatch links, and driver logins — instead of a generic "Transfer"
Retire a stop type you no longer use without changing historical loads
Pickup and Delivery are unchanged, and every other stop type behaves exactly the way Transfer does today for mileage, deadhead, driver pay, required fields, and document requirements. Only the label changes.
To enable: navigate to Settings > App Settings > Dispatch > Stop Types.
💡 Tip: Labels can't be renamed after they're created — this is deliberate, so a rename never rewrites the label on a load you ran six months ago. To change one, disable it and add the new label.
LTL trip management improvements
Building and reshaping LTL trips is now far less work.
What's new
Merge LTL trips — combine two trips into one when consolidating freight onto a single truck.
Quickly remove stops from LTL trips — drop a stop straight from the trips table, without opening and editing the trip
Move stops between LTL trips — shift a stop from one trip to another as your plan changes through the day
"Uncovered LTL orders" is now "Unplanned LTL orders" — clearer language for orders that haven't yet been placed on a trip
Bulk actions & custom PDF exports
Bulk actions on the Orders and Trips tables have moved out of the three-dot menu into a redesigned dialog that groups every action into clear sections — including a dedicated Export section.
PDF table exports
The new Export to PDF produces a landscape document that reproduces your table exactly as you see it: your visible columns, in your column order, in your sort order, with your groupings intact. It's built for sharing and printing — a clean, customer-ready view of a set of loads, rather than a spreadsheet dump. A preview step lets you review how content will fit the page before the file is generated.
CSV export is still there and unchanged: CSV gives you every data field, PDF gives you the table you're looking at.
💡 Tip: Bulk actions that change records or send messages are capped at 100 records at a time. Export to CSV is exempt, so it still works on very large selections.
Batch invoices & dispatches (early access)
We're also piloting bulk actions that create and send invoices and create and send dispatches in batches — a significant time saver for anyone billing or dispatching a large book of loads at once. Please reach out to support@truckbase.com to join the early access group.
Dispatch map + uncovered trips
The Dispatch Map and Assets List are out of beta and available to everyone, with a round of improvements:

Empty trip segments & non-billable orders (early access)
Two related capabilities for the moves that don't carry revenue freight but still cost you money and miles.
Non-billable orders let you mark an order as non-billable, so it flows through dispatch and reporting without pulling your revenue numbers out of shape.
Empty trip segments give you true loaded-versus-empty visibility at the stop level. Mark a stop as empty to the next stop, and Truckbase calculates per-leg mileage and splits your miles into loaded, empty (deadhead), and empty (within trip) — flowing through to your trips table, your reporting, and your driver settlements. It's the difference between knowing your total miles and knowing which of them actually earned.

Commodity-stop assignment & enhanced Pro Numbers (early access)
On a multi-stop run, your driver could see the full commodity list for the order but not which freight belonged to which stop. You can now assign commodities to individual stops, so each pickup and delivery shows exactly what's being loaded or dropped there.
What you can do
Assign one or more of an order's commodities to any stop, on any stop type
Assign the same commodity to more than one stop — its pickup and its delivery, for instance
Show that detail to your driver: stop-level commodities appear in the route on both the dispatcher overlay and the driver dispatch link and login, on desktop and mobile
Enhanced Pro Numbers (early access)
For cross-border freight, Pro Numbers now let you manage multiple shipments within a single order and carry the right shipment detail through to BorderConnect — a meaningful improvement for milk runs and consolidated cross-border loads, where several customers' freight moves under one order.
Commodity-stop assignment is fully optional — when you don't set it, your route looks exactly as it does today.

Bills & accounts payable (early access)
Your payables can now live in Truckbase alongside your receivables, so the full cost picture on a load is in one place.
Carrier bills — formalized from the carrier-from-trip flow you use today
Load costs — the third-party costs tied to a specific load, such as pilot cars, lumpers, or escorts
General bills — costs that aren't tied to a load at all
Approval workflows so a bill is reviewed before it's paid
A payables view to manage and filter what's outstanding by type, vendor, and associated order or trip
QuickBooks Online syncing, including syncing a bill again to pull its payment status back from QBO
Because load costs roll into order profitability, your margin on a load now reflects what it truly cost to run — carrier pay, load costs, and all.
