Managing Your Services in Truckbase

This is a quick guide on how to manage your services if you are using Truckbase to send invoices.

If you will not be utilizing or connecting to a QuickBooks Online account, by default, you will be using Truckbase services when entering rate information for an order and when sending out invoices. Here is how to manage your services.


Predefined Services

When building an Order, in the Rate Information section, you can select from predefined services set up as defaults for you. These include:

  • Line Haul Flat Rate

  • Fuel Surcharge

  • Detention

  • Lumper Fee

  • TONU Fee


Adding New Services

There are two ways to add new services in Truckbase:

1. From Order Creation

  1. Create a New Service

    • In the Rate Information section of the order form, click on Show Advanced Rates

    • Click on the Service dropdown menu and select + New Service, this will open the New Service modal

      1. Enter the name of the new service, the unit type, and the rate (optional)

      2. Click Create to add the new service to your services table

2. From the Services Table

  1. Navigate to Services

    • From the side navigation menu, click on Invoices and then select the Services tab

  2. Create a New Service

    • Click the + New Service button at the header of the Services tab, this will open the New Service modal


Managing Services from Invoices Table

To manage your list of services, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Services

    • From the side navigation menu, click on Invoices and then select the Services tab

    • You will see a table of all existing services

  2. Disable or Edit a Service

    • To disable a service you no longer use, identify the service row in the table, click on the three dots menu, and select Disable

  3. Disable or Edit a Service

    • To edit a service, click on the three dots menu and select Edit, this will open the Edit Service modal where you can adjust the service details

      1. Any updates made will apply to new orders created using this service
