Overview
Once you select your Identity Provider in TrunkText, the app provides a live guided setup for the remaining steps, specific to that provider.
Who Can Do This
✅ Business Admin — can configure the SAML SSO connection.
Requirements
Admin permissions with your Identity Provider (Okta, Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, Google, etc.)
Access to your DNS provider
Gather Required Integration Information
Provide these values to your IT/IdP admin when configuring the connection
Field | Value |
Identifier (Entity ID) |
|
Reply URL (ACS URL) |
|
Required attributes | firstName, lastName, email, phoneNumber |
⚠️ Note on phone number: Some IdPs don't have a single unified "phone number" field. Microsoft Entra ID, for example, splits this into separate mobilePhone and businessPhones attributes with no single default. Confirm with your IdP admin which one should map to phoneNumber before activating SSO.

From here, TrunkText's in-app guide will walk you through the rest of the configuration step by step, including setting up the application on your IdP's side, configuring attributes and claims, providing metadata, and claiming your domain.
