The template editor offers a rich variety of tools for you to edit your images and perfect your creative.
When you select an image in your template the editing suite will populate on the right hand side and it extends right to the bottom of the screen.
β
Under Tools you have Crop, Mask and Replace. Crop is fairly self explanatory; you can either use the square handles on the edges of the image or you can specify an image size in pixels:
Detailed information on the Mask tool can be found here
Replace simply allows you to quickly and easily replace an image with a different one from your asset library or by uploading one.
The Transform section of the editing bar allows you to reposition your image either by using preset positions under Alignment or by specifying the position using by specifying pixel locations.
You can adjust the scale and rotation of the image as well as adjust the Brightness, Contrast and Saturation. There is also the option to overlay your image with a specific, opaque colour.
Finally you have the option to use alternative blend modes:
β
Blend modes are mathematical formulas that typically determine how two layers will blend together based on a pixel-by-pixel analysis that utilises Luminosity, Hue and Saturation. Experimenting with blend modes can allow designers to create some amazing effects relatively easily without changing pixel colours. A comprehensive guide to Blend modes can be found here.
