When creating AI-generated images, adjusting for cultural aspects requires careful attention to detail. In this instance, our examples are aimed at generating images with a more British look.

Use Specific Prompting

If you want an image to reflect British culture, explicitly include "a British person" or "a British setting" in your prompt. Avoid vague terms like "a person" as AI may generate a biased or random cultural representation.

Utilise the Bias Breaker

The AI tool provides an "Improve" button with a Bias Breaker feature. This randomly diversifies results by introducing different cultural elements. However, if you need a specifically British look, manually refining the prompt is a better approach.

Incorporate Subtle Environmental Cues

A culturally authentic image often comes from environmental details rather than direct stereotypes. For example, to create a British scene:

  • Include subtle elements like a London street, a traditional pub, or an English countryside.

  • Use British home aesthetics, such as Victorian-style furnishings or tea sets.

  • Feature British customs, like enjoying tea or reading a newspaper in a park.

Avoid Over-Stereotyping

AI can sometimes exaggerate cultural elements. Instead of focusing on extreme British stereotypes (e.g., Big Ben in every background), opt for natural, everyday representations that locals would recognize.

Research and Refine

Understanding British culture is key. Referencing local traditions, clothing styles, and architecture can help refine prompts for more authentic results.
