This article describes how to enter a new learner in to tuple and enrol them in to a Course or Unit Offer

Before you start:  Please ensure you have completed Step 2: create course & unit offers.

1. How to Add a Learner

Step 1: Navigate to TupleSMS > Learner

Step 2: Add Learner

  1. On the Left Navigation Bar, click Add New

  2. Enter the Learner details

  3. Do you want to record more Learner details now?

  • Yes? Click Save an edit personal details

  • No? Click Save or Save and add another student

NOTE: Learner Contact details and Demographic details are required for accredited delivery and some government reporting – you can add these details later under the Personal Details and Demographics tab in the Learner's record

2. Enrol Learners

Learners are enrolled into Course Offers which create their unique Course Offer Enrolment. There are Two Methods:

Method 1: Via Learner Profile

  1. Open relevant Learner Profile Page

  2. Click Action and Enrol

  3. Search for the Course Offer you want to enrol them into

  4. (If there are any other Learners to Add- search for them here. Add the Learner to the Course Offer by clicking on the >>)

  5. Enrol Learner

Method 2:  Via Course Offer

  1. Open relevant Course Offer

  2. Click Action and Add Course Enrolment

  3. Search for the Learner you want to enrol

  4. Add the Learner to the Course Offer by clicking on the >>

  5. Enrol Learner(s)

NOTE: If you enrol multiple Learners at one time only fields with the same information will be updated. You will need to go back into each individual enrolment and edit details specific to them.

Step 3: Decide on an Enrolment Status

Step 4: Add Learner Enrolment Details

Fill out the applicable Enrolment Fields. If the enrolment is not confirmed or you are waiting for additional details you can add the Unit Enrolments at a later stage.

Step 5:  Select Unit Offers

  1. Select the Unit Offers

  2. Click Confirm Unit Enrolments

  3. Then click Save and Modify Unit Enrolments* OR Save and Finish – you will be redirected to the CourseOffer Enrolment page

*Selecting the Save and Modify Unit Enrolments button will allow you to configure the unit enrolment details for the individual student.  These can include items such as the student's unit start and end dates and who their Trainer or Assessor will be.  Of course you can always edit these in the future if need be.

All done?  Brilliant!  You're now ready to move on to Step 4: manage enrolments
