Often times, a FluoroSense that gets passed down to another person does not come with instructions on how to identify it. One of the easiest ways to verify which instrument you have is by the label on the back or the filters, checking the sensor face, or turning the instrument on to read a sample.
FluoroSense Chlorophyll
Sensor face will have a yellow mirror and a blue filter. The instrument label will indicate a 2860-000-C (C stands for chlorophyll on the model number). When the read button is pressed, a blue light will shine out.
FluoroSense Phycocyanin
Sensor face will have a Reddish-Blueish mirror (similar to those Red and blue 3D glasses) and a orange filter. The instrument label will indicate a 2860-000-P (P stands for phycocyanin on the model number). When the read button is pressed, an orange light will shine out.
