Bank accounts availability

How Tuyo bank accounts work, which currencies are available, and whether they're supported in your country or region.

Tuyo bank accounts (deposits, transfers in and out, and local bank details) let you receive money in USD, EUR, and MXN. Availability and the exact verification requirements depend on where you live.

How your Tuyo bank account works

Your account is assigned to you, but it's not a personal bank account issued in your name. This is because our banking provider uses virtual accounts for all users.

Here's how it works:

  • The bank account is legally held under the name of our provider, not under each individual user.

  • You receive a unique virtual account that is linked to your Tuyo account, so all deposits sent to that account are automatically routed to you.

  • Even though the account name shows the provider's name, the account still belongs to you and only you can receive funds through it.

Available currencies and accepted transfers

Tuyo bank accounts are available in three currencies: USD, EUR, and MXN.

  • USD accounts only accept ACH or Wire transfers. SWIFT deposits are not supported — if a deposit is sent via SWIFT it will be returned to the sender and can take around 15 days to come back.

  • EUR accounts only accept SEPA transfers.

  • MXN accounts are available.

Some countries are not supported for bank accounts. See the full list of restricted countries at Tuyo Prohibitions.

Quick text guide

  1. You can create your bank account inside the Tuyo app: tap Send or Add money > Bank account and set up your accounts. You can set up USD, EUR, or MXN accounts. If you run into an error, please contact Support.

  2. Once your account is created, depending on where you live you may need to provide extra information and documentation.

  3. Availability alone does not guarantee a transfer; your account must be verified and in good standing. Our banking provider reviews every transaction for compliance and AML, so additional information may be requested.

Things to keep in mind

  • Deposits must come from an account under your own name.

  • Our banking provider only allows 2 deposits every 24 hours. If you go over that limit your deposits may be rejected — you'll need to wait up to 24 hours from the last transaction that was received and accepted.
