We’ve designed our new credit system to be simple, flexible, and fully focused on helping you promote your music effectively.
What are credits?
Credits are our in-app currency, making it easier than ever to pay for pitches. While you can still purchase pitches individually as you always have, credits offer a smarter way to manage your budget. Now, when you check out, you'll see that each pitch is valued at 10 credits. You can save money by purchasing credit bundles, giving you a more cost-effective way to get your music heard!
As an un:hurd member you get complimentary credits included to get you started. On the monthly plan you'll receive 10 credits per month, whilst annual members receive 120 credits per year. Once these credits have been used, you'll need to pay for credits as usual.
Do my credits expire?
Credits you purchase with us do not expire. They are yours to use whenever you need them!
How to Buy Credits:
We’ve made it easy to purchase credits, giving you flexibility no matter your workflow:
Buy from your in-app Wallet → You can visit your wallet at any time to purchase a credit bundle. We currently offer three different bundles, each with a volume discount. For example, our largest bundle gives you 30 pitches for the price of 25. You can buy a bundle and save your credits to use now or for future releases.
Buy as You Pitch → If you're ready to pitch a track and don't have credits, we'll offer you the option to purchase a bundle at checkout. The pitch price and credit amount will be clearly displayed before you pay, with each standard pitch valued at 10 credits.
Amplify your release strategy with credit bundles
Credits are perfect for planning your promotion strategy, especially around a new release.
For a single release→ If you have a single coming out and are on a low budget, you can buy a small bundle of credits to pitch to multiple curators, ensuring you get your music heard by a variety of tastemakers.
For an album or EP → A larger bundle allows you to spread your promotional efforts across multiple tracks and playlists. The volume discount means you save money while building a more comprehensive campaign.
For ongoing promotion → Credits are ideal for artists who consistently release music. Instead of paying for each pitch individually, you can purchase a large bundle and have a bank of credits ready for your next project.
What about refunds? We know how important it is to get a timely response. If a curator does not review your pitch within 7 days (or 30 days for some larger curators), you can decide to automatically return these credits to your account. This means you can use them immediately to re-pitch to another playlist or curator or save them for your next release!
Do I get credits back if a curator doesn't place my track on their playlist?
Unfortunately, no. We pay curators for each pitch they review, not for placements. Guaranteeing a placement would violate Spotify’s terms and conditions, so we can't offer that. We do, however, ensure that you get a review or your credits back, guaranteeing your music is heard.
