🧼 TL;DR:

Rewards may be taxable. Uniteam does not report or withhold taxes—check with your employer or tax advisor if unsure.

🧾 Do I Need to Pay Taxes on My Rewards?

In some regions, rewards like gift cards or other redemptions may be considered taxable income. Uniteam does not manage or report taxes for any points or rewards earned or redeemed through the platform.

Each employer is responsible for determining:

  • Whether rewards are taxable

  • How (or if) they report those rewards

  • What, if any, communication they provide to employees

🔒 What Uniteam Does

  • Uniteam does not collect or report tax information

  • Uniteam does not issue tax forms (e.g., 1099s or T4s)

  • We simply facilitate the delivery of rewards as configured by your company

💡 Pro Tip:

If you have questions about the taxability of rewards you’ve received, ask your HR team or a tax professional.
