Using Uniteam for Onboarding New Hires

Uniteam makes it easy to onboard new hires. Use Feeds and Spaces to centralize training, welcome messages, and resources.

Updated over 5 months ago

🧼 TL;DR:

  • Create an onboarding Feed or Space (or both)

  • Share first-day steps, docs, team intros, and shoutouts

  • Works across stores, regions, and remote teams

🧩 Option 1: Create an Onboarding Space

Use a Space under the Connect tab to host conversations and resources for new hires. It’s great for location-based onboarding (like store teams) or cohort training.

📁 Suggested Subspaces:

  • “Start Here: First Day Checklist)”

  • “Meet Your Leaders”

  • “Training Docs & Links”

  • “HR Questions”

Subspaces help break up content and reduce noise. You can set some to reaction-only if you want to keep them read-only.

📰 Option 2: Use a Feed for Structured Onboarding Content

Use a Feed when you want to post structured content everyone can reference—especially for company-wide onboarding.

Post things like:

  • Welcome messages from leadership

  • Day-by-day task lists

  • Company culture + mission

  • Videos, benefits overviews, and policy links

  • Recognition posts that tag and welcome new hires

Use #corevalues to reinforce culture early on.

💡 Pro Tip:

Set up a reusable onboarding Space or Feed and rotate users in and out.
Example: Create “🧠 Onboarding” as a permanent Space. When Aisha and Malik get hired, add them in. Remove them when training’s done. Your docs, chats, and links stay in place—no rebuild needed.
