Reporting, Hiding, and Blocking

Let’s keep things friendly. Here’s how you can report harmful content, hide stuff that isn’t your vibe, or block folks you don’t want to hear from—no drama required.

When to use what

  • Report: Content breaks guidelines (harassment, spam, explicit). This alerts moderators. It doesn’t instantly remove the content.

  • Hide: You don’t want to see it. Only your view changes. You can unhide later.

  • Block: You don’t want to see a particular person’s content. You can unblock later.

Where to find the controls

  • Feed posts: Open the post menu (…) → Report Post or Hide this post.

  • Comments: Open the comment menu (…) → Report Comment or Hide this comment.

  • Messages: Use the message bubble menu → Report Message (if available) or Hide.

After you report

  • A case is created for moderators to review.

  • They might resolve it (all good), reopen it, or remove the content.

  • You won’t get status updates—think of it like dropping a note in the suggestion box.

When content looks “masked”

  • If many people report the same thing, we show a heads-up banner and hide it by default.

  • You can still choose “View anyway.” Masked ≠ deleted.

Your personal controls

  • Hide content: You’ll see a small banner saying it’s hidden. Click to unhide anytime.

  • Block user: Posts from that person get masked for you. You can view anyway or unblock from the banner.

FAQs

  • Does reporting remove content immediately? Nope. It alerts moderators to review.

  • Is my report anonymous? The content owner won’t know it was you.

  • Why is the content still visible? It’s likely under review. If it bugs you personally, hide it for now.
