Setup and manage two-factor authentication for Access Evo users for further data security.

Set up two-factor authentication with Access Evo

By default two-factor authentication (2FA) is disabled for Access Evo domains, meaning users will only be required to login using their User email address and password. You can improve your data's security by enabling the 2FA requirement for your users with Access Evo using the following steps.

  1. In Access Evo, navigate to your name's dropdown in the top right and select "My Account".

  2. Select "Two-factor authentication" and click on the "Get started with two-factor authentication" button.

  3. Select one of the following 3 options as your authentication process:

    1. FIDO2 or U2F authenticator: You can use your fingerprint or the biometric features if you have this built into your PC.

    2. Receive a text: You enter your number and receive a text with a code to enter.

    3. Use an authenticator app: Use any authenticator app on your device.

FIDO2 or U2F

To set FIDO2 or U2F up:

  1. Click Add authenticator then enter a name.

  2. Click Add then enter your PC pin or fingerprint.

Receive a text

To receive a text with a code:

  1. Click "Add mobile phone" then enter your number.

  2. Click "Send Code" then enter the code.

  3. Click "Verify" then save the backup codes.

  4. Tick "I understand the use of backup codes".

  5. Click "Enable two-factor authentication".

  6. To go back to Access Evo from this page type in this page in the web address, "https://go.accessacloud.com/."

Authenticator app

If you don't already have an authenticator app on your device, you need to download one of the following:

  • Google Authenticator

  • Authy

  • Yubico Authenticator

Once you download the app, follow the steps below:

  1. Click "Add authenticator app" then follow the on screen instructions.

  2. Enter the code the app generates then click "Verify".
