Update batch number expiry dates

A guide on how to update the expiry date on a batch currently in your stock on hand.

If you have batch-tracked stock in your inventory, and its expiry dates are incorrect, you can update them either in the product's record or in the Batch Number Enquiry.

Update a batch's expiry date in the product's record

To update the expiry date for a batch number in the batch-tracked product's record:

  1. Open the product's record.

  2. Go to the Batch Numbers tab.

  3. Use the filters available in the product's Batch Numbers tab to display the batch number in the grid.

  4. Click on the batch number's Expiry Date field and select or enter the correct date.

  5. Click away from the Expiry Date field, and the new expiry date will apply to all stock of the product's batch.

Update a batch's expiry date in the Batch Number Enquiry

To update the expiry date for a batch number for a batch-tracked product in the Batch Number Enquiry:

  1. From the main menu, go to Reports > Inventory > Batch Numbers Enquiry.

  2. Use the filters available in the Batch Numbers Enquiry to display the product and batch number in the grid.

  3. Click on the batch number's Expiry Date field and select or enter the correct date.

  4. Click away from the Expiry Date field, and the new expiry date will apply to all stock of the product's batch.
