What the Word Add-in does
The Unplex Word Add-in brings AI-powered contract analysis directly into Microsoft Word. You can review clauses, get source-backed assessments, and see suggested alternative formulations without leaving your document.
Requirements
Microsoft Word 2016 or later (Windows or Mac), or Word for Microsoft 365. An active Unplex account is required.
Option 1 — Install from Microsoft AppSource
Open Microsoft Word.
Go to Insert → Add-ins → Get Add-ins.
Search for Unplex Editor.
Click Add and follow the prompts.
The Unplex panel will appear on the right side of your Word window.
Option 2 — Install from within the Unplex app
Log in at app.unplex.ai.
Click Download Editor in the top navigation.
Follow the installation instructions in the document that opens.
Signing in to the Add-in
After installation, open the Unplex panel in Word and sign in using the same SSO account you use for the Unplex web app (Google or Microsoft). The Add-in connects to your workspace automatically.
Common installation issues
The Add-in does not appear after installation: Close and reopen Word. If the panel still does not appear, go to Insert → Add-ins → My Add-ins and activate Unplex Editor manually.
Sign-in fails or loops: Ensure your browser allows pop-ups for microsoft.com and unplex.ai. In corporate environments, ask IT to whitelist these domains.
Add-in is greyed out: Your Microsoft 365 administrator may have restricted Add-in installation. Ask IT to enable Unplex Editor via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
