In this article, we'll go over how to link your Shopify account with Lister.

To get started, please open up the admin portion of your Shopify site. You can do this by going to shopify.com and clicking "Log in".

Step 1: Create and Install a Custom App in Shopify

Step 2: Copy API Credentials into Lister

  • Open Lister in a separate window and navigate to Admin>Shopify

  • Click on "Link Shopify store"

You'll see a popup asking you to enter in the details of the custom Shopify app we created above.

  1. Copy the shop URL from Shopify into the Shop URL field in Lister

    • Note: The Shopify Store URL points to your Shopify admin of your shop, eg: "downleft-dev-store.myshopify.com". this should end in ".myshopify.com".

  2. Admin API access token from Shopify to the “Password” field in Lister

  3. Copy the API Key from Shopify to the API key filed in Lister

  4. Copy the API Secret Key from Shopify to the “Shared Secret filed in Lister

  5. Click “Link Shop” and you’re all set!

Step 3: Verify Account Link

At this point, you're all set to start listing with Shopify. You can verify the account is connected when this shows up in your Lister>Admin>Shopify settings page:

Troubleshooting

Permissions Errors

If you see permissions errors, make sure all of your API scopes are enabled correctly in the Shopify custom app settings.

Store Credentials could not be validated. Please confirm they are correct and try again.

The API access token is one-time use only. We recommend saving this somewhere safe as you won't be able to access it again if you make a mistake.

If an error is made while copying/pasting credentials in the Link your shop page in Lister, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the custom app in Shopify.
