How to connect Entrupy to Lister and create an Authenticate First account

Authenticating high-value luxury brands boosts buyer confidence and helps prevent returns and marketplace restrictions for selling counterfeit goods. Lister integrates with popular luxury authentication services Entrupy and Authenticate First to speed up the listing process by inserting authentication documentation into your online listings.

How to Access Item Authentication Settings

Item Authentication settings are in the admin section of Lister. Only admins and custom roles with access to authentication settings can view and edit these settings.

  1. Click the gear icon in the top right navigation menu of Lister to go to the admin page

  2. Click “Item Authentication” under the “Manifests and Authentication” section in the left navigation menu


Overview of Authenticate First

Authenticate First is a third-party service that uses pictures of luxury handbags, clothes and shoes, jewelry, watches, and accessories to verify an item's authenticity before you list it to your online marketplaces.


How to Create an Authenticate First Account

To begin, create an Authenticate First account here. For charities or sellers with a high sales volume, you can take advantage of Authenticate First's negotiated pricing:

  1. Log in to Authenticate First and click your profile icon in the top right corner

  2. Click B2B Application and fill in the details

Once you have created an Authenticate First account, you can automate adding authentication certificates, pictures, and notes directly to draft products via your Lister Admin>Manifest Settings page.

  1. Navigate to the Admin page by clicking the gear icon in the top right navigation menu of Lister

  2. Click “Manifests” in the side menu

  3. Activate these settings under the “Convert manifest items” section:

    • Auto-convert: Automatically convert manifest items to draft products when they are accepted

    • Images: All images used for the authentication will be added to the draft product

    • Authentication Materials: Certificate of Authenticity will be added as a picture to the draft product

    • Item Details: Any details added during the authentication step will show internally in Lister as product notes

We have integrated Entrupy directly into Lister, giving you the ability to view all your authentications directly in Lister and add a copy of your Certificate of Authenticity (COA) to your products.


How to Link Entrupy with Lister

After you’ve created your account with Entrupy and have received your Entrupy devices, follow the steps below to connect to Lister in 2 easy steps.

Step 1: Get your API token from Entrupy.

To get your API Token from Entrupy, you will need to email support@entrupy.com and request an API token. Here is a basic email template you can send to Entrupy to request this token:

Hi Entrupy team!

I want to link my Entrupy account with my Upright Labs Lister account and require an API Token. Could you please provide the API token for my account?

Step 2: Add your API Token to Lister

Once you have your API token from Entrupy, you’ll need to connect it to Lister on the Admin>Item Authentication page for the authentication images to pass from your Entrupy account to Lister.

  1. Click the blue “Not Connected” box under the Entrupy section

  2. Type or copy and paste your API token into the popup box

  3. Click the blue “Connect” button

  • If the API token is valid, the Integration Setup window will close, and you will see "Connected" in the Entrupy section:
