Overview

On July 9th, 2023, USPS formally merged USPS First Class Parcel, Retail Ground & Parcel Select services into Ground Advantage.

eBay has indicated they have automatically converted any Parcel Select methods to Ground Advantage, but they are not automatically converting other methods. They advised that any Shipping Policies with First Class or Retail Ground options intended for packages must be updated by August 9th, 2023.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If these options aren't updated, eBay may reject new listings using these policies until the shipping policies are corrected. These rejected listings would appear in your Lister "Attention Required" tab for eBay Listings until manually updated.

Step 1: Review eBay Shipping Business Policies

Review your Shipping Policies intended for packages to identify USPS Parcel Select, USPS First Class, or USPS Retail Ground services.

Step 2: Update to USPS Ground Advantage

  • Change any USPS First Class selection to USPS Ground Advantage

  • Save the Policy. If you have any active listings using this policy, eBay will update them automatically

Note: USPS First Class Letter, Envelope, and USPS Flat services do not need to be updated. These service levels are still valid.

Only First Class Packages and Parcel Select have moved to Ground Advantage.

Step 3: Reimport Business Policies to Lister

If you rename your shipping policy or add any new ones to eBay, follow the steps in this guide to reimport your business policies to Lister.

That's it! You are now set up to use USPS Ground Advantage with eBay! πŸŽ‰
