This guide explains the GoodwillFinds channel options and overrides available when creating a new GoodwillFinds listing. Understanding how these options work is key to creating an effective GoodwillFinds listing.

How to View Channel Options and Overrides
Channel options and Overrides allow you to fine-tune how your listing is priced and optimized for GoodwillFinds search results.
Scroll to the “Channels” section of the listing page when creating or editing a listing to see the channel options tab
By default, the listing page shows the Channel Options. Click “Overrides” to move to that tab (described below)
💡Operational Tip: Listing Strategies, default GoodwillFinds admin settings in Lister, and Builder Templates will automatically fill out most of these details, but they can be overridden manually while listing.
Channel Options
Channel Options control specific fields in your GoodwillFinds listing and can override settings within a Listing Strategy.
Price: The price set for the listing. If the item is on a listing strategy, the pricing used in the listing strategy will override any default settings from the listing strategy or Lister GoodwillFinds admin settings. This is a required field
Quantity: GoodwillFinds allows multiple quantities of a product. Setting this field to a value greater than 1 will allow this product to be purchased multiple times before it is delisted by Lister
Condition: Option to set or override the item condition
Short Description: Text entered here will populate to the “About” heading of the GoodwillFinds listing
Category: Option to override the category selected at the start of the listing
Specifics: Required additional information about the product is entered into these fields
Overrides
Overrides are fields that will change the title or description that are automatically filled out while listing a product. Clicking on the padlock icon to the right of each field allows manual adjustments to the title or description.
Title: This will overwrite the tile created during the initial listing process if it needs additional changes
Description: This will overwrite the Lister product description. Similar to the Title override, it will allow the Shopify listing to contain a different description than the description given to the product in Lister
