Can chin tucks make your forward head posture worse?
If you do any exercise wrong, it can make things worse.
When doing the chin tuck, make sure you aren't craning your head and neck forward. Think of keeping the back of the head in place while tucking the chin. It may help to imagine there's an axis of rotation going from ear to ear lobe to ear lobe. You are rotating around a rod joining the two earlobes. Don't let the head shift forward while rotating.
After doing a chin tuck, my neck felt stuck for an entire day. Is this normal?
It's uncommon and certainly not ideal! Make sure you aren't OVERDOING it. Just start gently. If you are using too much effort, you'll strain muscles. Ultimately, your body is supposed to be able to move the head and neck freely up and down. The only way to achieve that is to practice it gently, then build up strength over time.
You may want to do more strengthening of the muscles on the back of your neck. Balance front to back is crucial for good function.
My head feels ridiculously heavy doing the supine chin tuck. Is there something wrong with me?
Nope. You've just got really weak neck muscles!

I don't have use of one or both hands to do resisted chin tucks. Do you have suggestions for how to get around this problem?
