Acetabular retroversion is not exactly the same thing as FAI but it's in the same "category" if you will. Basically, both are theoretically telling you that you have an "abnormally shaped bone" and that this will inevitably cause problems.
However, there is a lot of research these days saying that "abnormal bone shapes" may actually be natural variations and are largely not correlated to hip pain and hip problems. See this for more: https://www.thefaifix.com/bones-dont-cause-fai-pain/
For example, Shane has "abnormally shaped bones" commonly referred to as "cam morphology / cam impingement", but has been able to go from very inflexible to very flexible by working on the muscles.
Matt has "degenerated bones" with an arthritis diagnosis.
None of these diagnoses limit their abilities to do things.
The FAI Fix is a combination of tissue work (self-massage), stretching and strengthening to optimize muscle function. This helps you get out of pain, get more flexible, and reduce your risk of injury.
