Feature Overview

Kojo's new email experience will give you the same customization control across every email touchpoint within Kojo.

With this change, we're enabling you to adjust or modify:

  1. The primary recipient

  2. The CC recipients

  3. Subject & body of the email

  4. Attachments

This change will first be rolled out for our Resend and Forward Order experiences, where we are consolidating these two into one Email Order experience.

Benefits and Use Cases

The benefit of this feature is that it gives you complete control over what gets sent from you within Kojo.

It also marks the start of bringing a more standard experience throughout the Kojo product, ensuring that sending an email anywhere within Kojo feels and acts the same way. This not only makes it easier for you and your employees to use Kojo but also ensures our system is more reliable.

Rollout Plan

I. Consolidate Resend and Forward Order

As noted above, we are first bringing this to Kojo by deprecating our Resend and Forward Order buttons in favor of a single Email Order button.

This change is live today. And this new, consolidated Email Order button does exactly the same thing the previous two buttons did and we made no changes to the emails.

II. Consolidate Resend and Forward RFQ

The same change we're making to POs will then be added to RFQs.

III. Hold-for-Release (HFR)

We'll be adding this experience to our HFR product so that you can issue a release and then control if or what gets sent to your vendor.

This enables you to make a release within Kojo without having to alert your vendors, which has been a key ask from some of our customers.

IV. Change Orders

Our Order Version History (OVH) product is currently only available to Sage 300 customers, but will be coming to other ERPs in the next few months either with or without Change Order integrations

We'll be adding this to our (OVH) product, giving you more control over whether to send or modify the email of your Change Order to your vendor.

  1. Will there be any set up needed to using this product?

    1. No, this will be available for all customers without set up

  2. When are these changes rolling out?

    1. The new Email Order button is now live

    2. The other changes will be rolled out over the course of January

  3. Do these features change anything about how emails are sent to our vendors?

    1. No, these changes do not change anything about how emails get sent from our product

    2. The only thing that will change is that you can now customize pieces of the email, so, if you do that, then the emails will be different
