The first step in building a journey is selecting an audience. You can choose to display the experience to all website visitors, or only to a selected few.
An audience is the segment of website visitors who will enter the journey, and thus will be presented with the experiences you are creating
If you click “create a new audience, you will be prompted to select the conditions that you want to apply to define the audience.
There are 4 key conditions categories: Clearbit parameters, Acquisition, Behaviour, UTM parameters Before diving into each, let’s look at characteristics that are common across several filters conditions:
Conditions include dropdown parameters for further customization. Dropdown parameters differ according to whether the condition is URL-based (e.g., Visitor is currently on a specific URL), time-based (e.g., Visitor has returned to your site after some time), or frequency-based (e.g., Visitor has returned to your site a number of times).
