Overlay content, or as we call them prompts, are a powerful way to nudge you audience towards the CTAs that are most valuable for you. Let’s see how to build prompts and supercharge your marketing KPIs in a few clicks!

Once you select the Overlay Content option you’ll be prompted to the location tab, where you can decide whether to apply your experience to a specific page - using the equal to option - or to a group of pages - using the containing option

Clicking on “Next”, you will be prompted (no pun intended!) to the type page, where you’ll be able to select which type of prompt to show you your audience.

You can currently add the following overlay content:

  • Emoji Card

  • Image/Gif Card

  • Video

  • Embedded Hubspot form

  • Video modal

  • Image modal

By selecting each option, you will be able to see a preview of how the prompt will look on the bottom right of the website. Don’t worry - you’ll be able to change the prompt position soon!

Let’s click on Next and have a look at the how to build an Image prompt. You will find that the experience is very similar for other prompt types.

In the Design tab, you will be able to modify:

  • Prompt position: emoji prompts can be positioned at all edges of the site, while other prompt types can be place at the bottom right or bottom left

  • Prompt delay: the prompt will appear after a certain number of seconds, specified here

  • Media: here you’ll be able to upload the picture/ GIF you want to use on your prompt. Make sure to follow the aspect ratio and size recommendations below the image to get the best result

  • Header and body: through these 2 fields, you’ll be able to specify the title and text that will be displayed in the prompt

Each changes modifies the website preview.

Building a prompt on the right of the website?

Simply click this button to move the navbar from the top right to the top left of the page!

Finally, clicking on Next you will go to the final tab of the prompt designer - the Actions tab. Here, you can set the URL to which to redirect users clicking on the prompt, and whether to open a new tab when redirecting users.

🎉 This is all! In a few step, you have creating a sleek-looking prompt for your website. If you need to modify any of the above, you can modify any of the tabs by clicking on the corresponding icons
