How To Use The Ticket Details Screen On Mobile

To begin a new request, log in and tap the New Ticket (

) button found at the top of the Console screen dashboard:

This will take you to the Ticket Details screen as shown below:

  • Province/Territory: Select your location: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, or Saskatchewan.

  • Ticket Type: Select whether the ticket is for a Regular, Planning & Design, Project, Large Project, or Encroachment job.

    • Regular ticket: Maximum dig size of 1,000 square meters. These tickets require a minimum of 3 full business days’ notice.

    • Planning & Design ticket: A request for utility information in a proposed work area for planning purposes. These tickets require a minimum of 10 full business days’ notice.

    • Project ticket in an urban area: Maximum dig size of 60,000 square meters. Up to 10 excavation locations can be included in the drawn area. These tickets require a minimum of 3 full business days’ notice.

    • Project ticket in a rural area: Maximum dig size of 800,000 square meters. An unlimited number of excavation locations can be included in the drawn area. These tickets require a minimum of 3 full business days’ notice.

    • Large Project ticket in an urban area: Maximum dig size of 800,000 square meters. These tickets require a minimum of 5 full business days’ notice.

    • Large Project ticket in a rural area: Maximum dig size of 4,200,000 square meters with no one side exceeding 2,400 meters in length. An unlimited number of excavation locations can be included in the drawn area. These tickets require a minimum of 5 full business days’ notice

    • Encroachment: A request for gas line information from SaskEnergy. Only a single address/lot should be included on each Encroachment ticket. These tickets require a minimum of 10 full business days’ notice.

  • Type of Work: Select the closest option to the type of work being undertaken.

  • Activity: The options available here will change depending on the Type of Work selected above. Select the activity being done, if the activity being completed does not match any of the drop-down options, "Other" can be selected. If you have multiple activities, the additional types can be included in the Remarks section later.

  • Excavation Method: Select the digging method that will be used for the work.

  • Excavation Depth: Select the maximum depth the excavation will reach: less than 1m, 1m to 3m, or greater than 3m.

  • Ticket Start Date: Choose the date you would like to start working (not the date you would like to receive clearance).

  • User Reference: This is an optional field, which can be used to enter your own reference number or name for the task; otherwise it can be left blank.

  • Working on Behalf of: Select whether the client for your work is a Local Government, Utility, Private, or Other. If the work is at your own home, select “Private”.

  • Utility/Authority: Select the relevant utility or authority type (the options available will change depending on the Working on Behalf of choice made above).

  • Onsite Contact Name: This is an optional field where you can enter the name of the primary contact or client, who is doing the work, or who the work is on behalf of.

  • Onsite Contact Number: This is an optional field, where you can provide a phone number for the Onsite Contact.

  • Public Property Location: Select the closest public property type to your work location. If you are not working on public property, select "None". If you will be working on multiple public property types, the additional types can be included in the Remarks section later.

  • Private Property Location: Select the type of private property for the work location. If you are not working on public property, select "None".

  • Is Area Pre-Marked?: Have you pre-marked your proposed work area with white paint, stakes, or flags?

Once the Ticket Details have been populated, tap Next to proceed to the Location page.
