The short answer
You earn a commission when someone uses your tracking link and completes a real, paid purchase of a UZO product. The commission is worked out from that purchase, and your exact rate plus any tier structure are set in the programme terms and shown in your affiliate dashboard.
In plain terms, a click or a free sign-up does not pay you. A confirmed purchase does. The amount follows the price of the product your referral buys and the rate that applies to your account.
What counts as a qualifying purchase
A commission is tied to a real, completed purchase made through your tracking link, not to traffic or registrations. Two product families qualify:
The evaluations: One Step (from $39) and Two Step (from $52), priced by account size.
The instant accounts: Instant, Instant Pro, and Instant 24h.
Starting prices are shown above. Exact prices for larger account sizes vary, so always check live pricing on the product page for the figure your referral actually pays.
How the commission amount is determined
The commission is calculated from the purchase your referral completes. Two inputs decide the payout: the price of the product they buy, and the commission rate that applies to your account.
Because product prices scale with account size, a referral who buys a larger account generates a larger purchase to calculate from. The mechanic is the same across every product: a confirmed purchase, multiplied by your rate, becomes your commission.
Input | Where it comes from |
Purchase amount | The product price your referral pays (see live pricing) |
Your commission rate | Set in the programme terms, shown in your dashboard |
Tiers and volume bonuses
Whether the programme uses a single flat rate or a tiered structure that rewards higher volume is defined in the programme terms. If tiers or volume bonuses apply to your account, they are reflected in the rate shown on your dashboard.
Likewise, whether a commission is paid once per sale or on an ongoing basis is governed by those same terms. Treat the dashboard as the source of truth for what your account currently earns.
What does not earn commission
A few things to keep clear so expectations match reality:
Clicks, visits, and free sign-ups on their own do not generate a commission. A purchase has to complete.
The 90% trader / 10% firm reward split is separate from affiliate earnings. Your commission never changes a referred trader's split, and their split never changes your commission.
A purchase that is later refunded or charged back can be adjusted, which is covered in the article on confirmed and reversed commissions.
The simple version
Real purchase through your link, multiplied by your rate, equals your commission. The bigger the account your referral buys, the larger the base it is calculated from.
Where to see your exact rate
Your current commission rate, any tier you sit in, and a running view of your earnings all live in your affiliate dashboard. If anything looks off, contact us at support@uzo.com and we will walk through the numbers with you.
